It’s amazing what you can learn in a weekend. For example, when your cat or kitten does number 2 on the carpet the best thing to do is let it dry first. It can just get to be just a bigger mess and a big type of mess that I probably don’t want to get into. I guess where I am going with this is that it is amazing how much you actually learn when there is so much Kaos going on and your mind is spinning. A lot of times that can come with more missed deadlines, but I am getting to where Maybe I might have a better way to deal with missed deadlines. I was wanting the week before last actually to be my week to get back to my blogging, but of course something happened with that then I find out on Monday of last week that something was going on with my brother and that day and Tuesday he was just a basket case he was making me a little bit crazy that is one of the reasons I think I missed my deadline this week. When I say deadline what I mean by that is that My goal with this blog was to have something posted every Friday or Saturday, Preferably Friday.

the issue with the landlord from my previous apartment complex

So, when I left off with talking about the apartment that I moved out of and the land lord that I don’t particularly care for it was where she was having words with a tennant in front of another tennants apartment. So Basically because of that incident I didn’t think I was going to like her. I believe it was that next month September of 2023 that I had paid my rent and a few days after the 3rd of the month I was informed by email that my rent had not been paid. I was not happy I sent an email to the office manager explaining that I paid my rent and how I don’t like problems. and went on to say a few other things because naturally I was upset. I remembered paying my rent but I paid it online. When I was living at that apartment complex I really didn’t like using the online portal. There are some apartment complexes that require you too. To help you understand why I didn’t like using the resident payment portal it was because after got out of a temp job where I was going to Austin a lot and doing a lot of indoor landscapes with this company. I took a job doing door to door sales and I had to go to Austin a lot of that company as well and that was where things were just getting stressful. It would be something like I was forgetting my password, or the resident portal had disappeared from the apartment complex website or something to that nature. Oh, I could go on, but after that started happening, I just started going to the office and write them a check. Unless the first fell on a weekend and in this particular situation where they were trying to tell me that I hadn’t paid my rent, that was what happened.

I was able to get into the office to see her and explain to her what happened; However, I didn’t know how exactly it was going to go because I was not happy about this and to be honest with you I wasn’t really happy living in that apartment complex when I was speaking with her about the issue at hand I told her that too. But surprisingly aside from that it wasn’t a bad visit to the management office. I was fully prepared to have an attitude and possible speak in a voice tone that was a bit higher than my usual voice tone, but I ended up agreeing with what she was saying. We got the issue cleared up but of course I ended up having to pay an extra several hundred dollars. I wasn’t happy about that, but I was like ok whatever it is what it is and just went with it. We actually got a long very well after that, but I still kind of didn’t like her there was just something about her I didn’t like. That next month I went in to pay my rent she didn’t have the rents posted on the portal yet, so she had to look up what I owed. While she was looking all of that stuff up, we would talk about how she is just one person running this complex and how it can be challenging at times. I would say something like I could see how this could be very stressful. She said that on top of that she was also an online student at one of the local universities. and I agreed that adding that to the workload was stressful and not to mention could feel impossible. She agreed, and I told her about my experience with online learning trying to get a master’s degree from a school that was in one of the mountain states and not only was I doing that but I was doing this door to door sales gig for a water filtration company and I was dealing with two different time zones, and I had a professor that was impossible. She told me that her professor is like communicate with me and tell me what it is you have going on so that I can work with you. I was telling her that’s the kind of person to have.

Around the December time frame I went into the office to pay my rent and somehow we got to talking about the trouble makers in the complex and how she is going to get rid of them and how in her other property that she was working she was held up and that is what got her interested in Krav Maga, then she was talking about another gym that she was going to. I was telling her about a gym that I was interested in because you have access to more personal trainers and it’s more intense. She told me that she had heard of that one. Long story short I am explaining all of this so you will have an idea that we werent always just hating each other. As time went on it looked like things were getting a little bit better. However, I never really saw anything being done about the couple that were having domestic issues and causing problems.

One of the people that was causing problems actually tried to attack the lady who managed the property because he was unhappy with how much he owed in rent. She told me he wanted to beat the crap out of her. The place was turning into a freak show.

The washateria wasn’t working for the longest time. I had places that I needed to be I didn’t have time to be going back and forth to a laundry matt. That was very inconvenient. The boys in blue were pretty much called every night and it was mostly because of that domestic disturbance couple. If they weren’t called every night, it was at least every other night or very often.

It was that last week in February that I happened to be looking at the kitchen sink and I just knew it was going to fall through the kitchen cabinet again because there were cracks in the calk. A couple of days later it did. It was the first of the month on that day so I paid my rent first, and as much as I didn’t want to I told the lady at the office that I wanted to renew my lease because An opportunity had come up to where I could run my own business from home, and I thought that would be a good way to save money instead of having to uproot everything and move it to a new apartment. She told me that there was a complaint from the pet control guy because the litter box hadn’t been cleaned out and she wasn’t saying that that was what was causing the roaches in the building, but it wasn’t helping. I told her I would clean everything up and I knew I was slacking in that department of order in my apartment because I had to take a job in a warehouse, and it was labor. However I told her I would get right on that, but I told her that the kitchen sink had fallen through the kitchen cabinet again. I told her I would put in a work order on it I just wanted to get this rent paid and I wanted to see about renewing my lease first. She said she understood and told me to make sure to put in the work order so We can see it and go from there on what needs to be done. She asked me if I only had one cat so she could file the paperwork for a request for my lease renewal and I told her I have two cat’s and that should have been in my file. She said that it wasn’t and that she would put that in. It looked like everything was in order and I got busy cleaning for the inspection and the sink to be fixed next week. Well, that inspection and the fixing of the sink didn’t happen. Some of the big wigs from the company that own the property were there doing inspections on this that and the other that whole week. Then that following week my parents came into town, and I was hanging out with them. I think it was that Wednesday I was at home making sure that cats got fed and everything when there was a knock at the door, and it was the maintenance guy, and he was not in what you call the best of moods. He was looking over the sink situation and explaining kind of what he needed to do and then left. I guess the land lady and the maintenance guy had words because I received another knock at the door and low and behold it was the land lady. She was not in a happy camper she was asking me why my apartment wasn’t clean, and I told her it was clean and ready for the maintenance guy and the inspection last week sorry you missed it. I told her when this week started, I had basically told myself I am not cleaning again because I have work and family coming in from out of town. She retorted with telling me remember our conversation about you renewing your lease. I said yes, I remember. She said I don’t think that is going to happen. I told her that’s fine I am really not interested in renewing my lease anymore. She told me please don’t say that I said something back, that I don’t remember because I was so upset, then she said something else and I said something else back and she said please do not use that tone of voice with me and I said something else back and then she said please do not use that language with me and then I said something else and was talking about how people seem to think I have four hours to talk to them or listen to them talk for some reason and then I went on to talk about how I am so sick of people and their crap and said something else and she finally just left. Like I told her I had family visiting from out of town, so I tidied up a bit for as much as I had time for and while I was taking things to the dumpster, I saw the land lady and the maintenance guy talking on the pavilion and it didn’t look like a happy conversation. I will get back to that in the next post.

The Recent Hurricane in North Carolina and the Hurricane that is heading for Florida

I was sorry to hear about the recent hurricane that hit the great state of North Carolina. I would like to send out my deepest sympathies and condolences to all of those affected by this natural disaster. I would also like to tell the people of Florida to be safe and please just get as far away from it as you can. I pray for all of yall’s saftey. To my readers, please don’t forget to pray for those affected by the recent hurricaine that hit North Carolina and please don’t forget to pray for those that are going to be impacted by the Hurricaine that is heading to Florida.

Leash Comparison

I have been wanting to write this post for a while. When I first got Tyger from Alex, one of the first things I was thinking because I wasn’t at home a lot during the day was, I know he gets tired of staying in that apartment. However, I know how when cat’s get out of the house a lot of times it is hard to catch them. I was wondering is there such a thing as a cat leash? When I would go to pet smart or pet co it looked like all of the leashes were for dogs. I did remember seeing a picture on Facebook of a friend of mine’s sister walking her dog and her cat at the same time and the car was on a leash. I probably shouldn’t call the person that a am referring to a friend because I don’t like him.

This is the first type of leash that I found in the cat’s section that was for cats. However, this particular picture is of leashes for dogs. I just used this picture to give you a visual idea of what these leashes for cat’s look like. They are actually very similar to these dog leashes shown in the picture by the actual leash material is slimmer. This particular leash that is for cat’s is actually very difficult to put on your cat. Not to mention your cat doesn’t know what is going on so there is a good chance he is going to be moving and scratching because he doesn’t want the leash to put on him. But on this particular leash one area for the arm is bigger than the other area for the arm so I don’t know the reasoning behind that. There are YouTube videos that show you how to put this particular leash on your cat but for me they are still confusing. Just to let you know the reason I used the picture above of dog leashes is because they appeared to be out of these particular leashes in the cat section. I am actually wondering if they didn’t discontinue them because other people other than myself had a hard time getting this particular leash on their cat.

This particular leash is called the harness leash. This leash is also available for dogs as well. For cat’s this is the leash that I would recommend because it Velcro’s as well as buckles around the cat’s body and gives you the owner a piece of mind. There is also a loop on the harness that you can connect the leash too. They usually come in bigger sizes than this but unfortunately today this was all that I could find. Olive has grown a little and this particular harness didn’t fit all the way around her. The lady at the register at pet smart told me that she has actually seen people come into the store with their cats on the harness leash. I have seen it in pictures like the picture of the person I knows sister on Facebook walking her cat and dog.
