International Cat Day/Missed Deadlines

It’s always great when you have a lot of things to write about. This past week didn’t exactly start out that way, but then as I am typing this my immediate thoughts that come to mind are or did I. I had two other idea’s for this past two weeks post’s. Basically let’s just put it this way we all have one of those friends who always seems to have problems and I mean problems, the problem friends.

The friends that you don’t know whether to get rid of the friend or not because there was this one time when that friend was there when you had a crisis. From what I have been hearing everyone has been having problems this year. However a lot of the problems I have been having this year are due to either this friend or nosey family members that can’t keep their mouth’s shut because they are either the gossipy type or they are bored with their lives or they live in a small town and so they have nothing better to do. If you guessed that this was my reason for missing two deadlines your absolutely correct. I did give myself the pep talk about it remembering what I told myself about this that I am really going to have to get organized and on a schedule if I was going to do this blogging thing, I just sort of came to the conclusion that it’s not like someone has never missed a deadline before, especially when they are first getting started with their writing career, and there was also the fact that I don’t have a lot of followers right now. I also knew that I was going to have to find a main job as well. However, it didn’t seem like the right time to be posting about those two topics and then all of a sudden a friend of mine this past Tuesday mentioned with a recruiter that we were sitting across from while interviewing for a job said it is national cat day! We were wanting to take on second jobs just to pay for a few things that we needed to pay off and we thought the extra money would be good with the holidays coming up right around the corner. After the interview, and on the drive back to my apartment I pulled over to glance at facebook and there were several post’s regarding national cat day. A lot of my friends who also own cats were posting about this with pictures of their cat’s. This got my curious so I continued my drive back to my apartment and once inside and cuddled up in a chair with my cat’s I got my laptop and googled National cat day. What I found when browsing through the result headlines of my search was that one headline was saying that National Cat day was in October.

I found something else out about this particular day. According to my google search that particular day which was August 8th was actually international cat day. A particular article did come up that caught my attention in my google search. This particular article gave an in debth history on cat’s that I am not sure a lot of people knew about. This article from the website nationaltoday.com titled international cat day-August 8th-2023, which also comes up in the search under the people also ask section in the google search. This article explains that cat’s were actually worshipped back in the ancient egyptian times and that the people of egypt thought of cat’s as god’s of some sort. When I first got Tiger and showed these two friends a picture of him the guy, for privacy purpose’s we will call him James. He told me that cat’s had a lot of spiritual attributes. That does sort of make sense in a way because the 2004 movie cat woman doesn’t exactly say that but it shows pictures that kind of suggest that when the movie refers or talks about cat wemon. I thought this was a very interesting article because I feel like it’s good that at a period of time in this world cat’s were actually treated well. Even in today’s society where we have grown to accept a lot of things that were not always excepted I am really nuetral to how things have progressed with animals.

I say that I am nuetral to how things have progressed with animals because, yes we have all of these charities and all for animals in general, but you still see a lot of stray dogs and cat’s wondering around. Not only that we still hear about people who have abused their animals. In the United States of America and probably most of the world in today’s society the most desired animal is a dog. I love dog’s too. I wanted dog’s, but ended up with cat’s. I not only loved animals as a kid but I loved cat’s, but I had a lot of friends who had chihuahua’s and pomeranians and all of these other types of dogs and it made me want dogs but even at that time I just didn’t realize I don’t think how awesome of animals cat’s really are. I might not have like I do now anyway. Also according to the nationaltoday.com in the Tuesday August 8th edition August 8th has been a cat holiday since 2002 and the organization that established that holiday for cat’s is the International fund for animal welfare.

Another interesting fact according to the nationaltoday.com August 8th edition an organization for the wellbeing of cat’s has been supporters of the international cat day and apparently this has been the case since the year 2020 I like that this day exsit’s because of the amount of cat’s out there that are abandoned and because of the overcrowd in shelters. This exact same website the nationaltoday.com August 8th edition mentions cat’s watching their favorited tv show on this particular day. I really enjoyed reading that particular line on this website because when I was working in a veterinarian hospital in a neighboring state of the state that I am living in now The animals that would come in and pay for our special rooms that had iron clad bed’s and tv’s in them they would watch animal planet. However When I got done with the interview I was feeling pretty good and sense it was international cat day so I went to the local grocery store. I got the cat’s some shredded chicken and coconut cream pie.

I also fed them some greek salad topped with salmon and they lapped that up veggies and all! You wouldn’t think that they would go after the greek salad the way the did but they did! They loved it! They were so cute eating it too!

I think they were very happy cats by the time they were done eating everything. Me and my friend were supposed to get calls the next day from the company we were interviewing with unfortunately we never heard from them. We were baffled as to why we didn’t hear from them. They were basically acting like we had the job right there on the spot. We were also very qualified for the job because of our previous experience. I found out from the typing test that I could actually type 50 words per minute! I didn’t even know that I could do that they were very impressed and so was I. Another thing that came to mind with the fact that I was basically two weeks late with this post is the fact that a lot of times those articles or post’s that are late a lot of times turn out to by the writers best works. As far as my friend with the problems and I do mean problems. I don’t know if she is ever going to get her problems sorted out but all I can do is pray for her, and keep inviting her to church.
